Gourmet Nutritious Dining

at Forest View

served just the way I like it

Dining and Nutrition

Our head chef is one of the best in the industry – just ask our residents! Ricky is at work at 5 am every morning, and is dedicated to providing our residents with delicious tasting, nutritious and hearty meals. Everyone at Forest View loves the food Ricky prepares, especially his famous soups. Our menus are prepared with the help of our registered dieticians, who ensure that each resident receives an appropriate therapeutic diet. The director of our Dietary department, Francisco Herrera, has been with us for 20 years, and has extensive experience in all areas of food service.

We serve 3 meals a day, with a wide and varied selection for each. Our trained, registered dieticians carefully prepare individualized menus to meet each patient’s dietary and nutrition needs, as well as monitoring the menus to make sure our patients receive full nutritional benefits from each delicious meal. There are 3-4 course choices on each menu, and we gladly accommodate requests for any another dish. We serve breakfast and dinner in the pleasant, sunny dining rooms that are on each floor. Lunch is also available restaurant style in the large, beautiful room located in the penthouse, in addition to being served in our other dining rooms. All dining rooms have cable televisions and are surrounded with flowers. The penthouse dining room boasts a piano, a large-screen cable television, and many plants and flowers as well. Tasty, nutritious snacks are provided several times each day.

We celebrate each holiday with a specially prepared festive and delectable meal. We have four annual family meals- Easter lunch, a Passover Seder, Thanksgiving lunch, and a summer rooftop barbeque, and relatives are invited to participate in these delicious, festive get-togethers. Visiting family members can also arrange in advance to receive a complimentary guest meal at any time, or join us for additional Holiday festivities.

Everything's Kosher, naturally!

Our varied menus are prepared using the highest quality foods and produce under the endorsement of Kosher Care International of Lakewood, N.J.

Our entire kitchen is Glatt Kosher, and is supervised by a Mashgiach, a trained supervisor. Please contact Rabbi Yaakov Goldbaum, the Rabbinic Administrator, at 888.354.8236 for any Kashruth inquiries.
